Killer storm hits Nile ferry
A sudden and violent sandstorm has hit the Sudanese capital, Khartoum, causing a large number of casualties.

Sudanese officials said at least 26 people died and more than 30 were taken to hospital after a Nile ferry capsized in the storm; most of the victims were doctors holding a wedding party.

Elsewhere, passengers were thrown off a ferris wheel in a Khartoum fairground and the Sudanese officials said 13 people were killed there, most of them children.
