England's loneliest man: In pictures
The BBC's East Midlands' Inside Out documentary team has nominated the loneliest person in England.
Michael Weston is a gatekeeper for the railway at Wyfordby in Leicestershire and his job is to open and close the gate when people want to cross the line.
Michael Weston still uses the old railway lamps of yore
The house is so isolated, Mr Weston could not find it when he first got the job
Until April, Mr Weston had to watch the gate 24 hours a day, seven days a week
Since then, the EU ruled that his hours are too long. Watching telly with his wife is now his favourite pastime.
Despite the isolation, Mr Weston says: "It's the best job I ever had"
Another lonely job: signalman at Uffincton
