Deputy mayor on rape charge
Mr Kachhia is to appear at Northampton Crown Court
The deputy mayor of Daventry has appeared at Northampton Crown Court charged with rape.
Arvind Kachhia, 47, of Scythe Road, Daventry, is alleged to have attacked a woman in August. He was elected to represent the Drayton Ward on Daventry District Council last year. He has been given conditional bail and is due to appear again at Northampton Crown Court in November. |
