Second towpath murder charge

Paul Cummins died after he was stabbed on the path
A second person has been charged with murdering a man who was stabbed on a canal towpath in Greater Manchester.

Paul Cummins, 27, was attacked near to Fairfield Road in Droylsden on Friday and died later in Tameside Hospital.

Christopher Gibson, 32, of Stan Jolly Walk, Openshaw, Manchester, has been charged with his murder.

Michelle Matthews, also of Stan Jolly Walk in Openshaw, appeared before magistrates on Wednesday also charged with murder.

Mr Gibson is due to appear before magistrates on Saturday morning.
