The Baltic is a major new center for international art
The art of Öyvind Fahlström has been described as perhaps the last unexplored continent of the art of the 1960s and 1970s.

The Baltic gallery in Gateshead is presenting the first major exhibition of the artist's work in the UK.

"This exhibition may baffle some but walk in with an open mind and you will be amazed at the variety of Fahlström's work," wrote BBC News Online's Helen Turley.

But what do you think?

Was Fahlström underrated? Is his work still relevant?

Have your say
