Man faces murder charge
Crediton
The alleged incident took place in Crediton town centre
A Devon man has appeared in court charged with murder.

John Foster, 36, from Crediton, is accused of killing Phillip Cousins, 33, also from Crediton, after an alleged incident in the town's high street on Tuesday.

Mr Cousins died on Wednesday morning in the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital from injuries sustained during the incident.

Magistrates in Exeter remanded Mr Foster in custody until next week when he is due before the city's crown court.

He spoke only to confirm his name, address and date of birth.

There was no application for bail.
