Child rapist back in jail
Lee Thorley
Thorley was arrested by police in Surrey
A child rapist who went missing after he was released from prison on licence is back in jail after a nationwide police search.

Lee Thorley, 28, who was described as a "danger to women of all ages", disappeared after he was released from Wolds Prison in Humberside nearly three weeks ago.

He was supposed to return to an address in Derby, but disappeared on the day of his release.

He was arrested by police in Guildford, Surrey.

Assault conviction

Thorley had served less than two years of a 28-month sentence for assaulting two women when he was released on licence.

He also had a previous conviction for raping a 13-year-old girl and another for common assault on a 14-year-old girl on the same day.

Thorley was released from prison on 6 September to return to a hostel in Derby and, although he was spotted in the city that day, he was not seen again.

He was arrested near the A3 in Surrey a few days ago and was in custody in Manchester after breaching the terms of his licence, Derbyshire Police said.
