Rapper faces rape allegation

Rapper Mark Morrison has been arrested in connection with an allegation of rape.

Mr Morrison, 30, was held in the early hours of Thursday morning in Kensington, west London, where he was staying in a hotel.

He was arrested after a woman phoned police alleging an attack.

Following his arrest, Mr Morrison was taken to a police station in west London and later bailed to return next month.

A Scotland Yard spokesman said: "A 30-year-old man was arrested in Kensington in connection with an allegation of rape."

Mr Morrison shot to fame six years ago when his single Return Of The Mack topped the charts.
