Students escape Oxford fire
St Hugh's College
It is thought an electrical fault caused a fire
Students and staff were moved out of one of Oxford University's historic colleges on Thursday after a fire started.

The fire was in the roof of one of the halls of residence of St Hugh's College.

Investigations are under way to find out how the fire started, but it is thought an electrical fault may have been to blame.

No one was hurt in the incident.

A spokesman for the college said fewer students than normal were there as term has not yet started.

St Hugh's was founded in 1886 by Elizabeth Wordsworth, the great-niece of the poet William Wordsworth.
