Mandela sketches: Your views
Nelson Mandela
Mandela is regarded by many as the greatest living statesman
Former South African president Nelson Mandela has an exhibition of his art work on display at London's Belgravia Gallery.

The charcoal and pastel drawings are influenced by they years he spent in prison on Robben Island, off the coast of Cape Town.

"Those anticipating dark reminiscences of a dark place will be surprised to see that Mandela's vision of the place where he spent much of his 27 years imprisonment is brilliant and luminous," wrote BBC News Online's Finlo Rohrer.

But what did you think?

Were you surprised by his interpretations? What is his best work in your view?
