Recipe for division?

The number of bombings and shootings in Belfast last year was the highest for 20 years.

Warnings have been issued about a drugs war between rival Loyalist paramilitary groups, and for the first time since the Good Friday Agreement, troops have been put back on the streets.

This summer Alex Maskey, twice interned without trial in the 1970s for IRA activities, became the first Sinn Fein Lord Mayor of Belfast.

His appointment has infuriated Loyalists, so how does he plan to represent the city as a whole?
