Iranian detained in Argentina

The Argentine Supreme Court has charged an Iranian woman in connection with the 1992 bomb attack on the Israeli embassy in Buenos Aires, which killed twenty-nine people.

Nahrim Mokhtari was arrested at the city's international airport when she disembarked from a flight from Paris, on her way to Uruguay.

Police say she is the former partner of a Brazilian man, Wilson dos Santos, who was detained in Brazil last month.

He's believed to have critical information about the bombing in 1994 of a Jewish cultural centre in the Argentine capital, which left eighty-six people dead.

Argentina is seeking his extradition.
