Plea to Albanians over murder
The car where the victim's body was found
The victim was found in his burned Rover 416
Police have appealed to members of the Albanian community in Luton to help solve the murder of a man who was stabbed to death before his body was left to burn in his car.

Taf Krasniqi, a 25-year-old Albanian, also used the names Marco Tafaveli, Mustafa, and Fatmire or Vladimir Shabani.

He worked at a factory in Stevenage, Hertfordshire before moving to Celadine Drive in Luton.

Burglary link

Police have put up posters at the Arndale shopping centre in English and Albanian, and have offered translators.

They said they realise some people might not come forward because of their immigration status, but said their only concern was to solve the murder.

Detectives earlier linked the case to a burglary at the Wyevale Garden Centre in Caddington near where Mr Krasniqi's body was found, but are uncertain of a connection.

Four metal containers of fireworks worth £2,000 and a trailer were stolen from the centre.

They were later found abandoned and have been turned over to forensic scientists.

An incident room has been set up at Dunstable Police Station on 01582 471212, and the public can also call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
