Grease still the word for Travolta
John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John relived scenes from their hit film Grease 24 years on at a Hollywood party to launch the DVD of the film.

The stars, who played 1950s high school sweethearts Danny Zuko and Sandy Olsen in the 1978 film, performed You're The One That I Want.

Travolta, 48, and Newton-John, 54, showed they still knew all the right moves and words.

Speaking at the launch of the DVD on Tuesday, Travolta said he was "staggered" by the success of Grease so long after its first screening.

Rigg is 'sexiest' star

Diana Rigg and George Clooney have been named the sexiest stars in TV history in a US poll.

UK actress Rigg, now 64, is best-known for playing leather-clad Emma Peel in The Avengers.

Clooney won heart-throb status when he shot to fame as Dr Doug Ross in US medical drama ER in the mid-1990s.

Veteran actress Angie Dickinson, Denzel Washington and Magnum star Tom Selleck also feature high on the list.

'N Sync singer works against drink-driving

Pop singer Justin Timberlake is to lend his support to a drink driving campaign after one of his fans was killed while waiting to catch a glimpse of him.

The 'N Sync star said the "senseless" death of Anna White made him support a group called Recording Artists, Actors, and Athletes Against Drunk Driving (RADD).

Ms White was run over while waiting for Timberlake to emerge from the KIIS-FM radio station on 9 September.

"I can only hope that partnering with RADD will raise awareness and convince others never to drive after they've had even a few drinks," Timberlake said.

Film fans bitten by Hannibal

Hannibal Lecter has been voted the scariest film serial killer ever by movie fans.

Lecter, played by Anthony Hopkins, became a feared screen character in The Silence of the Lambs in 1991.

The killer from Seven, played by Kevin Spacey, was second in the poll, with the knife-wielding murderer from the Halloween movies, Michael Myers, third.

Norman Bates, the villain in the infamous shower scene from Hitchcock's Psycho, only came fourth in the survey by the UK's Total Film magazine.

Fine for Big Brother sex

The broadcasters of the Hungarian version of Big Brother have been fined after a couple were shown having sex on the show.

The country's TV2 channel has been ordered to pay £18,000 by a watchdog after the encounter was shown during prime time.

It broke a law banning prime-time programs that could "harm the personality development of under-age people", according to a spokeswoman for the National Radio and Television Council.

TV2 was told to air the show later with a warning that it might contain offensive material.

Jamaican stars team up for peace

Some of Jamaica's top reggae stars have recorded a song aimed at reducing tension in the country in the run-up to the general election.

The single, Together We All, features rapper Tony Rebel and singers Half Pint and George Nooks, and will be given away at record shops.

It came after political parties increased the tension with accusations of dirty tricks campaigns.

"Something like this is needed to cool tempers at the height of election time," government mediator Howard Hamilton said.

Mexican star's sisters 'kidnapped'

The sisters of Mexican singer-actress Thalia may have been kidnapped, reports from the country have said.

Prosecutors have launched an investigation into the fates of Laura Zapata and Ernestina Sodi after witnesses reported seeing their vehicle attacked and them abducted after leaving a theatre in Mexico City.

Zapata had just finished acting in a play, and police found her Volkswagen Jetta abandoned on a Mexico City road, the capital's attorney general said.

Thalia is the wife of Sony Music chairman Tommy Mottola, and recently performed at the Latin Grammy Awards.
