Man wanted over pensioner attacks
Jimmy Evans
Jimmy Evans has also used the name John White
Police in Lancashire have named a man they want to speak to in connection with attacks on pensioners.

Officers are looking for Jimmy Evans, 34, after a 76-year-old woman was threatened with a knife and assaulted in her home in Knuzden, Lancashire.

Police say he may also be linked to three other similar incidents in the same town, where pensioners were conned into letting a man into their homes.

On another occasion, an 84-year-old woman was attacked and had money stolen.

Public warned

Mr Evans, of no fixed address, is white, 5ft 10ins tall, slim and has brown hair.

Detective Inspector Neil Hunter, of Blackburn CID, said: "We believe this man may have been in Bury, Radcliffe and the Rossendale Valley.

"He can be aggressive and we need to trace him.

"He should not be approached as he can be violent."

Mr Evans is also known to use other names, including John White.
