Arrest after armed road rage incident
Police light
Police arrested the alleged gunman
Police are investigating an alleged road rage incident, involving a firearm, in north Cornwall.

Two motorists were involved in an argument on the A30 at Temple in the Bodmin area.

One man allegedly threatened the other driver with what was believed to be a gun at 0900 BST on Tuesday.

Officers traced the vehicle and then arrested the alleged gunman for making threats to kill.

Any report involving a firearm, the police will always take very seriously

PC Baxter Provin
Police say a search of the man's home revealed more weapons and ammunition.

A 47-year-old man has been questioned and released on police bail.

Police spokesman, PC Baxter Provin, says it was a nasty incident.

He said: "We are getting more reports of drivers getting out and causing damage to the other persons vehicle, or even assault.

"Fortunately, this sort of report is quite rare, but any report involving a firearm, the police will always take very seriously."
