Southampton General Hospital
The woman is being treated at Southampton Hospital
A woman is seriously ill after falling 150 feet off a cliff at Portland in Dorset.

The accident happened at the Lobster Pot, Portland Bill at 1230 BST on Tuesday.

The 27-year-old-woman was out walking on her own when she fell.

She was flown by helicopter to the Dorset County Hospital at Dorchester, before being moved to the neurological unit at Southampton General Hospital.

She is suffering from extensive head and abdominal injuries and has been put on a ventilator.

A hospital spokesman said she remains "very poorly".
