Man held over shooting death
Kevin Nunes
Mr Nunes died from gunshot wounds
Detectives are to question a man over the death of semi-professional footballer Kevin Nunes.

The 20-year-old Jamaican national, who was playing football for Emerald FC in Wolverhampton, was found shot dead in a private lane at Pattingham last week.

Police issued a public plea for information on Tuesday.

They are now travelling to Aberdeen to question a 29-year-old man, from Derbyshire, who is in custody.

Police interview

"Detectives investigating the murder of Kevin Nunes are travelling to Aberdeen to convey a 29-year-old man to Staffordshire in connection with the murder inquiry," a Staffordshire Police spokeswoman said.

"It is anticipated that he will arrive later today (Wednesday) and will be interviewed at Cannock police station."

Mr Nunes was last seen alive by his friends on the evening of September 19.

His body was found in an access road off Clive Rd, Pattingham.
