Poster appeal for missing schoolgirl
Abersychan
Jenna Baldwin, 15, was last seen in Abersychan
Police have said they are "extremely concerned" over the whereabouts of a missing schoolgirl who is believed to have gone off with a man in his 30s.

Jenna Baldwin, 15, was last seen two weeks ago on 10 September at her home in Abersychan, near Pontypool.

Her parents - who have not heard from their daughter who goes to Abersychan Comprehensive school - have put up posters appealing for information.

Police have said there have been sightings of a girl matching the teenager's description with a man thought to be in his 30s.

Gwent Police Chief Inspector, John Oliver, said: "We are concerned because a man has rung Jenna's school since she disappeared.

"He said Jenna was sorry for the worry she was causing but she was staying with a female friend and would be returning home within seven days.

"But a week has gone by since that phone call and Jenna is still missing," he said.

Jenna's family have put up posters around their home appealing for their daughter to come home.

Attempts to trace people seen with Jenna before she was reported missing have also been made.

Relationship

"We know Jenna's had a relationship with an older man in the past but this time we think she is with a different man - someone in his 30s," said Chief Inspector Oliver.

"A girl matching Jenna's description was seen arguing with an older man about four days after she went missing.

"We have no grounds at the moment to believe she has come to no physical harm but it is uppermost in our minds.

"Jenna was at an age where she clashed with her mother over school and the company she was keeping.

"We just want Jenna to contact her family or the police to say she is safe," he added.

Jenna has not made any contact with her family since she was last seen at about 1600 BST at her home in Ffrwd Road in the village.

The 5 ft 7in tall girl, was last seen wearing blue Adidas tracksuit bottoms, a white jacket and Adidas footwear.

She is described as white with a medium build and long, straight, blonde hair.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Pontypool Police on 01495 764711
