Argentina - You've been Tango'd!
Beating at the bank doors
Argelia is furious with her bank in Buenos Aires. She has spent the day beating at the closed doors of the HSBC bank to try to get her frozen savings back.

To add to her angst, she has come home to find advertising mailshots offering her credit with the same bank.

Her teenage sons think she's on the edge of sanity - a state the old Tango expert, Oscar Himshoot believes is affecting most of Argentina now.

Daniela Volker's film follows Argelia's journey to understand the catastrophe that has unfolded. Her partner's quixotic solution to the unfolding crisis is to stand for highest office - the presidency.

Argentina - You've been Tango'd!: Sunday 13 October 2002 on BBC Two at 1915 BST

Reporter: Olenka Frenkiel
