Naxalites killed in India

Reoports from the southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh say eleven Naxalite guerrillas were killed in a clash with armed police.

A police spokesman said the encounter took place in the Karimnagar district, east of the state capital, Hyderabad.

It's the latest in a long series of clashes between police and Naxalite guerrillas in the state.
