The official Niger News Agency ANP has reopened after being briefly closed for failing to pay its taxes.

The offices of the chairman and managing director were sealed off, though journalists and other employees were allowed into the building.

Managers said the agency had owed over three-and-a-half thousand dollars in taxes, half of which had been paid.
