Friday, December 4, 1998 Published at 10:19 GMT World: Asia-Pacific Court protest in Malaysia About two-hundred lawyers in Malaysia have protested outside the Court of Appeal in the capital, Kuala Lumpur, in support of a colleague who was found guilty of contempt of court in the trial of the sacked deputy prime minister, Anwar Ibrahim. The lawyers, dressed in black, chanted: we want justice. The court of appeal has again suspended the three-month jail sentence imposed on the lawyer, Zainur Zakaria. He had alleged that the prosecutors tried to fabricate evidence against Mr Anwar. The Court of Appeal ruled that the sentence will remain suspended until Mr Zainur's appeal is heard.
