Wall Street market report

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 55.61 points, or 0.61%, to 9,008.93 at about 0945 (1445 GMT), after 15 minutes of trade on Thursday.

The stocks on Wall Street started the day moving downward despite interest rate cuts agreed upon by the 11 central banks of the euro zone.

The dollar held stable against the mark at 1.6717 marks, compared with 1.6714 marks at Wednesday's close.

Other US stock indexes were also moving downward, with the Standard and Poor's 500 losing 6.75 points and the composite index of the Nasdaq electronic exchange shedding 7.55 points.
