New chief ministers in Delhi and Mizoram

A new chief minister for the Indian federal capital territory of Delhi has been sworn into office following the defeat of the Hindu nationalist BJP in state assembly elections.

The new leader is Sheila Dixit of the Congress Party, who served as a minister in the 1980s in the federal government of Rajiv Ghandi.

A new chief minister has also taken office in north-eastern Mizoram, where the Congress Party was defeated.

He's Zoramthanga, of the Mizo National Front - the first non-Congress chief minister there for twelve years.
