All London battle in semis

Joe Kinnear sees past Spurs to Wembley

New Worthington Cup favourites Spurs will play Wimbledon in the semi-finals of the competition, providing fans with a London derby with Wembley at stake.

1997 winners Leicester will play runaway first division leaders Sunderland following the draw made on Wednesday night.

The ties are held over two legs with White Hart Lane hosting part one of the battle between north and south London.

The deciding tie will take place at Selhurst Park with Wimbledon boss Joe Kinnear keen to put one over his former club.

Meanwhile Leicester have to travel to the intimidating Stadium of Light in Sunderland for their first match, before the return at Filbert Street.

The first legs are to be played in the week commencing 25 January, with the returns being played in the week beginning 15 February.

Spurs are the new 2-1 favourites for the trophy with bookies William Hill who offer 9-4 Leicester, 3-1 Wimbledon and 7-2 Sunderland.
