Reports from Burundi say nineteen civilians have been killed during a rebel attack on a camp for displaced people in the north-western province of Bubanza.

At least thirty others were wounded.

The Burundian authorities say government troops killed six rebels during subsequent fighting.

Correspondents say it's the second big rebel attack in the area in the past two weeks.
