Anniversary of Chittagong deal

The people of the Chittagong Hill tracts in Bangladesh are marking the first anniversary of the peace deal that ended more than two decades of fighting between tribal rebals and Bangladeshi government forces.

The deal led to the return of about fifty-thousand people who fled the violence.

Some of the former rebels say they are disappointed that the land they expected to live on has been taken by local Bengali people.

But the BBC's correspondent in Dhaka says the peace deal is secure despite the rebels demand for more land.
