A gold crown from an ancient Peruvian culture is on its way back to Peru after being handed over by FBI agents in Washington on Monday.
The crown, from the Chavin culture which flourished in the north of Peru some two thousand eight hundred years ago, was stolen in 1991.
It was discovered in Miami by the FBI, who arrested two Cuban-americans when they tried to sell the crown and other stolen artefacts to undercover agents.
