The man on trial in Ukraine for the serial murder of fifty-two people is refusing to testify.
The accused, Anatoly Onuprienko, who has already confessed to the offences, was due to give evidence today -- but declined to do so after his demand for a new lawyer was turned down.
The court hearing continued with the questioning of a man accused of being an accomplice in nine of the murders, Serhi Rogosin.
Rogosin, who denies the charges, is -- like Onuprienko -- being held in an iron cage in the courtroom.
