Emergency services in Russia will today attempt to rescue by helicopter a three-man international camera team who have been trapped by blizzards on the remote Russian Arctic island of Vrangelya.
Previous efforts to reach the trio have failed because of extreme weather and the continuous polar night.
The team -- an Australian, a Japanese and a Russian -- became stranded in mid-October while filming wildlife more than a hundred kilometres from the only settlement on the island.
