The World Food Programme says two people were injured yesterday when one of itsconvoys in northern Rwanda came under sniper fire near the town of Ruhengeri.
A WFP spokeswoman in Nairobi says one of those injured was a Rwandan soldier who is in a critical condition in hospital.
The other was a woman by-stander.
No WFP personnel were injured in the incident.
The World Food Programme is to have talks with local officials to discuss security in the region.
