A large demonstration is planned later today in Spain's northern Basque region to demand that hundreds of prisoners belonging to the separatist group, ETA, be moved to jails closer to home.
The demonstration in Bilbao is to be led by relatives of the prisoners who say that they must travel hundreds of kilometres to visit them.
They say that moving the prisoners closer to their families would be a sign that the Spanish government was committed to the peace process with ETA.
The government is due to have talks with ETA following the decision by the separatist group to declare a ceasefire in September.
