Police reinforcements have been sent to the region of Tamale in northern Ghana after clashes between the Konkomba and Bimoba peoples, reportedly over a land dispute.
Several MPs have also gone to the area to try to mediate.
There's no word on casualties, but many people are reported to have fled the fighting.
Two thousand people were killed in Tamale in 1994 and 1995 during clashes over land ownership.
