Moya sets up Henman clash

Henman is next in line for Moya

French Open champion Carlos Moya has joined Pete Sampras and Tim Henman in the semi-finals of the ATP Tour World Championship.

Moya, who had not won an indoor match all year until this week, reached the last four by beating Yevgeny Kafelnikov 7-5, 7-5.

The Spanish claycourt expert has done well at this elite season-ending event, qualifying for the semifinals for the second consecutive year.

"I was perhaps luckier in important moments," Moya said. "I had to be like a wall, put back every ball. I was mentally stronger than last year."

Moya, No. 4 in the world, will face Henman on Saturday.

Moya's first indoor victory of the season after five defeats came at the start of the round-robin portion, when he beat Karol Kucera. He then lost to Sampras and finished behind him in one of the four-man groups.

Corretja in semis

Spain's Alex Corretja hammered countryman Albert Costa 6-2 6-4 at on Friday to secure himself a semi-final berth against world number one Pete Sampras.

Corretja, whose best performance this year was runner-up in the French Open final, was in top form as he ruthlessly despatched Costa in straight sets.

His victory also denied Britain's Greg Rusedski a place in the semi-finals.
