Iranian officials condemn attack on US nationals

A senior Iranian official has condemned last Saturday's attack on a group of visiting American business people in the capital, Tehran.

The delegation were travelling in a bus when they were attacked by Islamic militants wielding iron bars.

The remarks by the Iranian deputy Interior Minister, Ali Mohaqqarfollow similar comments by the foreign ministry.

Meanwhile, hundreds of people defied a government ban by taking part in a march in Tehran on Friday demanding the impeachment of the foreign minister, for allowing the visit to take place.
