Bangkok cleans up for Asian Games

Police in Thailand have launched a three-day operation to reduce crime in the capital, Bangkok, before the Asian Games begin on December the sixth.

Police will search for weapons and explosives, and will be conducting searches in high crime areas.

The organising committee said gangs of pickpockets would be a special target of the operation.
