Talking Point Are you sick of Christmas already?
Christmas gets earlier every year, the shops have been full of festive gifts and decorations for weeks.
Oxford Street in London is lined with festive lights that welcome the bustling shoppers, not with yule tide greetings but advertising slogans for fizzy drinks and fish fingers.
Cardinal Basil Hume, leader of the UK Catholic Church is fed up with the commericialisation of Christmas.
"Giving presents at Christmas is a good thing and shopping is a good thing, but we have to be careful not to turn our shopping centres into cathedrals as it were, where we worship material things and riches," he said.
Are you fed up with festive season before it has even started? Has commercialism taken the Christ out of Christmas?
Well the environmental group, Friends of Earth think the overconsumption at this time of year is sapping the world's resources.
They are urging people to stay out of the shops this weekend out of protest.
Their concerns have been backed by the Church of England's children's charity which has warned that some poorer parents will go without food and get into debt in order to get the perfect Christmas presents for their children.
Is it the season to be jolly or will you be saying bah humbug?
What do you think?
