Miss Ancient Mesopotamia


Iraq is to hold its first Miss Baghdad contest next month.

An Iraqi newspaper al-Zaura said it would take place in the Saddam Hussein Arts Centre under international rules.

But it added that contestants must look Babylonian, Assyrian or Sumerian -- the three great cultures of ancient Mesopotamia.
