More dead following Indian train crash

Rescue workers trying to untangle the wreckage from a train crash in northern India now say the number of dead has risen to one-hundred-and-fifty.

The search for more victims at the site in Khanna, in Punjab is continuing.

The accident happened when a crowded express bound for Calcutta smashed into carriages which had uncoupled from another train minutes earlier.

Thousands of workers have been drafted in to try to clear the track.
