Two of Mexico's most dangerous volcanoes have shown renewed signs of activity.On Thursday, Popocatapetl, near the capital Mexico City, sent plumes of smoke and ash several kilometres into the air, but caused no damage.
Meanwhile in the north-western state of Colima, lava from the Volcano of Fire is threatening villages in its path.
Civil defence authorities are considering evacuating some five hundred people.
