PPP accuses Nawas Sharif of corruption

The opposition Peoples Party in Pakistan has released a report, accusing the Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif, of financial irregularities totalling more than one-hundred-million dollars.

The report said Mr Sharif was guilty of tax evasion, money laundering, and of using public funds for his personal enrichment.

It calls on the judicial authorities to launch an enquiry.

The report has been sanctioned by the party leader, Benazir Bhutto, who is herself the subject of numerous curruption cases in Pakistan.
