Thursday, November 26, 1998 Published at 16:06 GMT World: Americas Arrests in Chile in Pinochet protests Police in Chile have arrested more than sixty people during violent demonstrations by supporters and opponents of General Augusto Pinochet in several cities. In the capital, Santiago, most of the violence took place outside the Spanish and British embassies, where pro-Pinochet supporters tried to break through police cordons.
