Nepalese king leaves hospital

King Birendra of Nepal has left hospital in London after minor heart surgery.

The fifty-two year old monarch suffered a heart attack last month, and was admitted to hospital a week ago.

A BBC correspondent says doctors describe his condition as satisfactory but the king is expected to remain in London for a while to allow doctors to monitor his recovery.
