A mayor in Puerto Rico, involved in awarding contracts to companies for reconstruction projects following the damage caused by Hurricane Georges in September, has been arrested and charged with extortion and bribery.
The man, Angel Rodriguez Cabrera, is mayor of the town of Toa Alta, one of the towns worst affected by the hurricane.
Mr Cabrera is accused of accepting a bribe of over two million dollars from an American company.
