Britain has staged its first professional women's boxing match.

The contest was won by the British fighter, Jane Couch who stopped her German opponent, Simona Lukic, in the second round.

Couch's victory in the ring followed a successful legal battle for a licence allowing her to box professionally in her home country.

She already holds a world welterweight title which she won in the United States.
