Should Abdullah Ocalan be extradited?

Talking Point joins with BBC World Service Radio's Europewide to discuss whether Abdullah Ocalan should be extradited

Listen to both sides of the debate click here

The row between Turkey and Italy over the Kurdish rebel leader, Abdullah Ocalan, has spread way beyond politics and the law.

Turkish firms and individuals have boycotted Italian goods, and a Champions' League football match between Galatasaray and Juventus was postponed for a week in the hope that tempers would cool.

An Italian court refuses to hand Mr Ocalan over for trial in Turkey because Ankara still has the death penalty. He has applied for asylum in Italy.

The United States and the European Union are increasingly being drawn into the dispute. What can be done to resolve it?
