The Russian news agency Itar-Tass, reports that the government of the Prime Minister, Gediminas Vagnorius, may have to resign, because of the resignation of the country's transport minister.
The Lithuanian constitution stipulates that if more than half of the members of a government change, parliament must either approve the changes, or a new cabinet must be selected.
The resignation of transport minister, Algis Zvaliauskas, who is accused of embezzling tax payers money means that less than half of the original cabinet remains.
