Cambodian opposition leader returns

A prominent opposition politician, Sam Rainsy, has returned to Cambodia amid tight security after leaving the country two months ago because of fears for his safety.

One of the government's fiercest critics, Mr Rainsy said he and his supporters intended to take up their seats in parliament, despite allegations of widespread fraud in the July general election.

He called for political reconciliation in Cambodia and said he was prepared to give the newly formed coalition government a chance to prove itself.
