A week-long spell of unsually cold weather in Europe has led to the deaths of more than a hundred people and disrupted transport and power supplies.
Many of the victims were the elderly or homeless, with Romania and Poland being the worst affected with at least thirty people in each country dying from hypothermia.
In Paris -- where the fountains in front of the Eiffel Tower have frozen -- hospitals are organising search parties for those sleeping rough on the streets.
